Post 5 - Changes to my Sudy Programme

Recently, someone asked me about what I think about the study programme of my major (Chemistry and Pharmacy), so here we go.

At first, the truth is that I have no knowledge of the curses I have to take in the future 😅, I worry semester by semester about what courses I have to take. But about the courses I have had, I think we have some very poorly organized courses, or other that are not really important, like Mechanics which has no a real use in the career or Electromagnetism which until now we have never used.

About the workload, I think it depends on the course, but in the most of the courses it is poorly presented because some organizers and/or teachers assume that we come to class with the material already learned and, in some cases, more than this (it has happened to me that they asked me things not presented in class) to really understand, instead of present the material in class and use the self study to review it, I really don't like this.

With the infrastructure, I feel a little bit satisfied about the studies because, for example, the laboratories are quite complete, and we have plenty of study places, but it never hurts to have more good places to study and to recreate, and I think it would be good to modernize or improve some laboratories.

About the classes, I would like them to be more interactive and didactics, although there are good professors, there are some who only read the PowerPoint of the class or just repeat mechanized exercises, or for some tasks or laboratory works they give poor explications or a simple guide.

Here we have some things that I like to change for my study programme, and I would really like them to change or improve in the near future.

Post 4 - A Time Travel to the Future or Past

If I had the possibility to travel in time, and they gave me the choice between the past or the future, I would definitely travel back in time.

I wouldn't like to travel to the Future because it makes me anxious to know what could happen to me in the future.

Anyway, I would like to travel as a spectator and not actively participate in the things that happen, I really wouldn't want to get in trouble with temporal paradoxes

I would like to travel to the past to know how the story really happened, to know if it really happened as they told us at school. This is why the places I would like to go are many. For example, I would like to go to see if really the dinosaurs exist, see what they were like and why they are extinct.

I would also like to travel to the time of Jesus to meet him, and to know if the things that happened to him are as reported and if he really knew how to do miracles. Another place I would like to go is the time of the Vikings, I really like their history and mythology, and how they transmitted their stories almost only by voice to voice, I would like to hear their own vision of their stories.

I also want to meet the Egyptians and the way they built the pyramids, also know if Atlantis really existed, and see the city of Pompeii before its destruction.

I would really want to have this kind of travels, but if you asked me about if I would like to stay in one of these places, I wouldn't, this because how I said before, I don't want to get in trouble with temporal paradoxes or other things like that. Also, I would like to tell people the things I see during my travels, writing a book or telling someone to write one, this so that people know how the story we know really happened.

Pot 3 - My Dream Job

Since I was a little, I always wanted to work in the health area, but I didn't like being a doctor, so I never could decide what I wanted to do for work, until I met a great aunt who works as a Pharmaceutical researcher, she told me what her job was about and what pharmacist does, and I loved it. Therefore, now I am studying Chemistry and Pharmacy.

Also, essential but not the most important, I understand that pharmacists have a very good salary, which gives my a little more incentive to have this job.  

Ideally, I would like to pursue my career, but if you asked my about my dream job, I would like to start working in a hospital pharmacy, where I could most directly help people with diseases, after a while, I would like to work in my own pharmacy in the countryside or in a little city, in this way I could have more direct contact with the people and also help them with his diseases. In this ultimate case, you need to know very well how to manage an enterprise and how to serve the public, so I need to study and learn how to do all of this (and I think much more).

Post 2 - The Best Concert Ever

If you asked me about the best concert I have ever been to, I honestly wouldn't know how to answer because most of the artists I like have not come to Chile.

However, the most concerts or music festivals I have been to are free, for instance, every year near my house there is a festival called WOMAD which lasts 3 days, where have a little bit of every popular music stiles, and the majority of the artists are from Latin America, they also have many craft stands, I think it's very entertained the variety of things to see and to do.

On the other hand, I also have been listening to concerts from the outside, for example, the last one I went to was the concert of "Los Bunkers", I was next to the back exit of the stadium that they kept open, where I could see the stage from the left side where they were playing, it looked incredible, as if I were inside, that time I went with my sisters, we had a great time.

Post 1 - A Country I would like to visit

Do you know where the biggest temple made only of wood is in the world? 

Well, this is in Japan, the place I would like to visit.

I am interested in Japan because I read a lot of manga and watch anime.

The places that I like to visit in this country are especially Taoist or Buddhist temples, for example the temple of Sanjusangendo in Kyoto, which has more than a million statues of the goddess Kannon or the temple of Todai-Ji, which is the biggest temple made only of wood, which is the one I mentioned before, or other famous temples in Japan.

Also, I want to visit their natural landscapes, such as Mount Fuji, the largest mountain in Japan, or go to their forests or natural sanctuaries, or go to their thermal baths.

Another thing I would like to do is taste his version of sushi, because I know it is different from the sushi made here in Chile.
